Speaker: Ken Johnson – Managing Editor of the Patriot Ledger
Ken is originally from Easton where he grew up as a paperboy for the Brockton Enterprise.
He recently finished fundraising for reporter (Ray) at the paper.
Ken is happy to not have to wear a tie or suit to work each day.
The Patriot Ledger, like many newspapers is currently in difficult times. The paper is a quarter of the size that it used to be , 30 pages VS the original 100.
Circulation has decreased from a high of over 100,000/day in the 1990s to 30,000/day, with many people reading the online e-paper.
The paper is endorsing Hillary Clinton for President. The Editorial board is who votes on the endorsements and they endorse a presidential elective as well as the ballot questions.
Queen of Hearts Raffle: Joe Shadduck....thanks for coming
